Bakura cleared his throat. There was an obvious tension in the air.
“So. Are you going to banish me again?”Atem laughed. “No…I don’t think that will be happening…” He turned, Baraka in his arms. “Why don’t you come give him a hug?” He’s been having nightmares….”
Bakura raised an eyebrow. He slowly approached and embraced Baraka. “So what has gone on here? Are you…still being a tyrant?” he chuckled slightly, trying to ease the tension.
Atemu smirked, and kissed his cheek. “No….I don’t know what happened, i was under some kind of spell.”

Bakura rode past the guardsman and dismounted his horse. He paused for a moment, trying to think of were the Pharaoh would be at this time. Shrugging he decided to try his bedroom. He quickly walked through the palace corridors, to the Pharaoh’s chambers. When he finally reached them, he knocked quietly.
Atem assumed it was Joey or a Guard for some reason or another, and kept bouncing Baraka slowly. “Come in.” He said, voice pitched low to try and keep his son calm.
Bakura slowly opened the door. He wasn’t sure what to expect from Atem. Was he going to be the vengeful Pharaoh he had left behind, or the kind one who he had unexpectedly fallen for?
His eyes wandered around the room and finally locked with Atem’s.
“Hey.”
Atem froze, keeping Baraka close to him.
“….Hey.” He choked out after a minute.

The sun was setting. Bakura was worried he wouldn’t make it back to the city or the palace before nightfall. He rode on for about half an hour more before the city finally came into view. He sighed, relief falling over him. He suddenly tensed up again. He remembered the entire reason he had left was because Atem had, essentially, gone mad. Before long he reached the palace gates. There was one guard and he didn’t appear very intelligent. Bakura rolled his eyes. Hopefully he would let him pass with no question.
The guard was sleeping against the wall, so Bakura would be able to pass easily.
Atemu hummed softly, bouncing Baraka gently to try and get him to sleep. “Shh…..” He sighed softly.

Atemu stood at his window. He knew that Bakura was wild, that he occasionally had to take off…But he had been gone so long…He just wanted his Bakura back….
Bakura lay on a raggedy blanket, in an abandon house back in Kul Elna. He didn’t know what had come over him. He just needed to escape from the palace life, but it turned into more than time off. He rolled over, running a hand through his hair. He glanced around the abandoned and mostly burned house. Bakura sat up and buried his head in his knees mulling things over in his mind. He decided to return. He finally stood up and walked out the door, mounting his horse and riding to the palace.
Atem sighed, and walked away from the window, smiling as he picked up Baraka from his blanket on the floor, and quietly made his way to the Nursery.
